She walks in beauty, like the night
    Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
    Meet in her aspect and her eyes;
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

  3. "Walks in beauty like the night?"
Well, I watched a segment of "West Side Story" the other night.
It's when Tony pays Maria a visit he is on the balcony outside her
apartment. They sing a duet. The actor's are beautiful. The music is
    beautiful. The set is beautiful.
Now just imagine what the scene would look like if we end up with a system
    that some wish to impose:
Maria would be covered up from head to toe in a black funeral shroud. She
would look at the world through two little slots. Tony would have a machine gun
slung over his shoulder and wear a dirty rag on his head.
I personally would rather be dead then see such a dead, ugly society.
If nothing is worth dying for, tell me what is worth living for?

  4. In the name of God, The All Merciful, The Compassionate:

    "By the night enshrouding,
    And the day resplendent,
And Him Who hath created male and female,
Lo! your effort is dispersed (towards diverse ends).
As for him who gives and is dutiful (towards God),
    And believes in goodness,
Surely We will ease his way unto the state of ease.
But for him who hoards and deems himself independent,
    And disbelieves in goodness,
Surely We will ease his way unto adversity.
His riches will not save him when he perishes.
Lo! Ours it is (to give) the guidance,
And lo! unto Us belong the latter portion and the former.
Therefore have I warned you of the flaming Fire,
Which only the most wretched must endure,
He who denies and turns away.
Far removed from it will be the righteous,
Who gives his wealth that he may grow (in goodness).
And none hath with him any favor for reward,
Except as seeking (to fulfill) the purpose of his Lord Most High.
    He verily will be content."

I think we can agree on something. You don't like me quoting the Qur'an or speaking about Muhammad. We can agree that Jesus taught an ideal ethical code. Why don't we both just quote him instead? I do one and you do one and we never have to fight? I'll start:

"For what shall it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his soul?"

So you don't like Jesus either because you value vulgarity more than his words - you just hate Muhammad more. Sounds like you worship the Devil.

You've already spewed your hate against another muslim on this blog who found the Truth after becoming a socio. I have nothing more to say to you. If you had a troubled childhood than my well wishes - May God guide you.

      Good luck.

    5. Whoever said I didn't like Jesus?

      I love him.

The disciple upon whom He built His church- Peter, "the rock", was a man who cut off someone's ear. He was a crude fisherman. Do you think he wasn't vulgar?

He couldn't even look into the piercing eyes of his savior because he was such an abject sinner. As am I. You judge so superficially.

What he did for me upon the cross is sufficient. He made atonement for all my sins: past, present and future, and I have appropriated that by faith. It is enough for me.

Unlike you, I don't need luck. I have grace. Grace trumps karma.

      Rock, paper, scissors. :)

    6. Narrated by 'Abdullah bin Umar:

The Jews brought to the Prophet a man and a woman from among them who had committed illegal sexual intercourse. The Prophet said to them, "How do you usually punish the one amongst you who has committed illegal sexual intercourse?" They replied, "We blacken their faces with coal and beat them," He said, "Don't you find the order of Ar-Rajm (i.e. stoning to death) in the Torah?" They replied, "We do not find anything in it." 'Abdullah bin Salam (after hearing this conversation) said to them. "You have told a lie! Bring here the Torah and recite it if you are truthful." (So the Jews brought the Torah). And the religious teacher who was teaching it to them, put his hand over the Verse of Ar-Rajm and started reading what was written above and below the place hidden with his hand, but he did not read the Verse of Ar-Rajm. 'Abdullah bin Salam removed his (i.e. the teacher's) hand from the Verse of Ar-Rajm and said, "What is this?" So when the Jews saw that Verse, they said, "This is the Verse of Ar-Rajm." So the Prophet ordered the two adulterers to be stoned to death, and they were stoned to death near the place where biers used to be placed near the Mosque. I saw her companion (i.e. the adulterer) bowing over her so as to protect her from the stones. (Bukhari :: Book 6 :: Volume 60 :: Hadith 79)

    7. But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.

Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them. Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.

So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience,[h] went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her,[i] “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?”

      She said, “No one, Lord.”

And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”

  5. Incidentally this also touches on Hume's point about altruism. As a believer I finally understand what it means to do good for no other reason except to gain the pleasure of God. The feeling is not describable but the closest I can come to it is to compare it to going out of your way for a loved one - without expecting anything in return (except perhaps acknowledgement).

  6. To be clear:

ONLY the Qur'an is divine. Believers know it to be the speech of God. Nothing else in Islam is divine or directly from God but the work of men trying to understand divine will (and inevitably it included psychopaths / devils who attempted to caricature the faith like previous traditions). God promised to preserve the Qur'an - not the sayings of Muhammad or any of his companions. The Qur'an is for any individual to read and access God directly, without any mediators. You don't need to convert formally to Islam or become an arab or change your name or dress different etc. The book is for mankind, whereever they are, whenever and in whatever context.

    The song goes:

    "Let me entertain you.
    Let me make you smile
And if you're real good, I'll make you feel good
Let me entertain you. And we'll have a real good time
Yes sir, We'll have a real good time!

The men in the audience are yelping and holloring. The manager screams:
"Show some flesh!" She gives them a shoulder dip.

Now imagine a beaten down oppressed Muslim girl doing that.
She's shrouded in black from the top of head to her ankles.
What's she going to do? Pull off one of her black gloves and throw them into
the audience? The penality for showing to much ankle is stoning.
Except for Suffism, Islam is a LIVING DEATH. It brings misery and slavery
    wherever it goes.

  12. It's amazing how ignorant most people are of Islam. Anyone who's visited almost any Muslim land can notice one thing for sure: no one is more hospitable than Muslims. They killed nearly 2 million Iraqis over the past 25 years and scream "violent religion" because a few thousand (less than 10,000) westerners have died in terrorist attacks condemned universally by ALL Muslim authorities.

That which is attacked and vilified the most is often the Truth. If Islam truly was what our media and psychos would have you believe, instead of attacking it and putting up dramas like the one above ("Muhammad vs Jesus") they'd just sit back and watch people reject it themselves. Why are they so desperate to attack it in such cowardly ways? Nothing false will win out in the end.

I challenge anyone here to produce a historical figure who legally mandated inheritence rights for women before Muhammad (actually it was God but for non believers it was Muhammad).

    NOTE:

The word translated as "disbelievers" is the Arabic word "Kafiroon." It's literal meaning is "those who cover up" - it refers to those who knowingly conceal the truth. "Disbeliever" is used mostly but it obviously is not doing justice to the meaning. I think psychopath is a better translation but it's limited in its scope.

    1. Who is concealing the truth about your so-called "religion of peace"?

Quran (47:3-4) - "Those who disbelieve follow falsehood, while those who believe follow the truth from their Lord... So, when you meet (in fight Jihad in Allah's Cause), those who disbelieve smite at their necks till when you have killed and wounded many of them, then bind a bond firmly (on them, i.e. take them as captives)... If it had been Allah's Will, He Himself could certainly have punished them (without you). But (He lets you fight), in order to test you, some with others. But those who are killed in the Way of Allah, He will never let their deeds be lost."

Bukhari (52:177) - Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. "O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him."

Bukhari (8:387) - Allah's Apostle said, "I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah'. And if they say so, pray like our prayers, face our Qibla and slaughter as we slaughter, then their blood and property will be sacred to us and we will not interfere with them except legally."

Bukhari (52:220) - Allah's Apostle said... 'I have been made victorious with terror'

Bukhari (52:73) - "Allah's Apostle said, 'Know that Paradise is under the shades of swords'."

Bukhari (11:626) - [Muhammad said:] "I decided to order a man to lead the prayer and then take a flame to burn all those, who had not left their houses for the prayer, burning them alive inside their homes."

Quran (8:67) - "It is not for a Prophet that he should have prisoners of war until he had made a great slaughter in the land..."

Quran (5:33) - "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement

14 year old baboons were not caught on camera following behind their teachers
with concealed boxcutters they brought from home so they can rape and murder
them in bathrooms. There was the right combination of self disclipline,
postpoment of gratification, and creativity. This pretty much continued until
the Kennedy Administration. When the bum got elected that's when everything
went south. He was a sickly, even dying man, who knew he didn't have much
time. His father, Joe Kennedy really wanted Joe Kennedy Jr. as President,
but he was killed in the Second World war. So all the hopes fell on Jack.
He was only concerned with looking like a pretty boy, and having sex with as
many girls as he could. Joe insisited that J.F.K.'s brother Bobby, be hiered
as Attorney General to clean up the invariable messes and there were plenty
    of them.
How does this pertain to today? Well the classless lout and bum who followed
Kennedy, Lyndon Baines Johnson (He didn't charm women, he raped them.)
Made black people (And other degenerates) into a huge voting blocks.
Votes were swed for money. Disclipline and principles once mattered.
Now, they don't. Difference? In the early 1960's there was quality of life, and
people felt safe. Teachers neither raped children and children didn't rape
    teachers.

  19. This is the natural course of events in most, if not all, civilizations. The moral fiber of a society gradually weakens until families break apart, "freedom" is rampant and all is allowed except decency and honesty. Then the civilization either reforms or dies.

The Devil works slowly because he's a coward and ultimately possesses no power other than deception and the ability to allure you with false hopes. Human beings have a heart and empathy and reasoning faculties which exceed those of the Devil and his minions. However, they - his minions and him - can see us while we can't see them. This is literally true when it's the devil or his race (in islam they're called Jinn - demons in English) but it's symbolic in humans. The human minions are the psychopaths who "see" you - they are aware of their evil intentions and your innocence while you are completely unaware of who you're really dealing with.

Fortunately the devil's tricks are not only weak and ALWAYS fail ultimately but it's the same thing each time - just different context. Don't fall prey to him. Fear God not this envious coward who's greatest trick was to convince so many people (perhaps the majority) that he's not real.

Firstly I realize I'm making an exception to my own statement earlier where I said I will not correspond with you again. Just this one time to share a final comment:

God knows I'm only deducing from what I've seen of you: you are almost certainly no Christian or in any way a follower of Jesus or even a believer in him. You are almost certainly a Zionist and probably a Jew (depending on the definition of "Jew"). I say this because of your immediate accusations of anti-semitism against me from the onset. You are masquerading a believer in Jesus and vehemently attacking Islam and Muhammad as an attempt to strike two birds with one stone. Your "criticism" (in quotes because it's actual just utter hate & nonsense) of Muhammad is without saying. By attaching yourself to Jesus and behaving in the EXACT opposite - without any exception or consideration whatsoever despite how much I've implored - you are attempting to caricature his name and the religion of Christianity by showing readers that a "Christian" can be as disgusting as you.

Now you can go back to your "you're a jew-hating conspiracy nut..." rambling. I will do my utmost to avoid you. May God have mercy on you.

    1. "you are attempting to caricature his name and the religion of Christianity by showing readers that a "Christian" can be as disgusting as you. "

On the contrary. A is very clearly showing why Christianity is a religion of hope.

You have cast psychopathy as a choice, based on a study that shows psychopaths can "turn on" empathy when they choose to. This is one element of the extant literature on the subject that you have *caricatured* into a grotesque, erroneous and one-dimensional portrayal of a significant proportion (1 - 4%) of the human population.

Psychopathy is complex constellation of traits that are physically manifest in the neural system. Anti-social tendencies are maladaptive because humans are social beings. That's why it's called a pathology.

We are growing in our understanding of it through scientific studies, significant case histories and personal testimonies of psychopaths and victims alike - but we don't have a full grasp.

Yet you seem to think you have the problem solved. Tell me: how many psychopaths have you seen *cured* by the grace of God?

A has shared very candidly that Christianity provides her with hope and helps her to operate less anti-socially and more pro-socially. M.E. has written that the strongly explicit moral code of Mormonism helps her understand what is expected. She has also written - very recently - of her Mormon therapist:

"My current (LDS) therapist says that the best way that we can worship God is to be precisely the being that he created in us."

This is a great gift he is extending to her. It promotes self-acceptance and positive engagement in her community. It does not ridicule or caricature or diminish or cast off into the contrived category of EVIL.

Cherry-picking evidence to support one's previously conceived model of understanding (as you have done with the is not only poor science and poor philosophy but poor humanity.

Psychopathy is NOT equivalent to "evil", however you may choose to define it. Psychopaths are not human equivalents of Jinn or demons or devils or evil spirits. They are human, wired a little differently. Their experience ought not to be undervalued if we are to learn and grow as a species; rather it offers us a stark lens by which to better understand the human condition overall. It is through growing awareness that each individual can be better prepared to survive and thrive in what is a competition for limited resources and a stake in the gene pool of the future. And of course, awareness improves our general pleasure in life.

You have been deceived in the past and I know that hurts. I felt so sad today when I heard that my ex speaks to a colleague yet refuses to talk to me. That still hurts. "Your "criticism" (in quotes because it's actual just utter hate & nonsense) of Muhammad is without saying. "

So you don't like the quotes I posted from the Qu'ran and Hadith?

You said that nothing Mohammed said contradicts what Jesus taught. I simply showed by way of a simple comparative Scriptural analysis that your statement is objectively false- but now I am the purveyor of "hatred, lies and nonsense". How does that work, exactly?

"By attaching yourself to Jesus and behaving in the EXACT opposite - without any exception or consideration whatsoever despite how much I've implored - you are attempting to caricature his name and the religion of Christianity by showing readers that a "Christian" can be as disgusting as you."

So I am behaving in exactly the opposite way that Jesus would?

      Consider the following questions:

Did Mohammed have sex with a nine year old little girl?

Did he advocate for the crucifixion and beheading of his enemies?

Did he authorize the killing of homosexuals and adulterers?

Did he authorize the rape and killing of infidels?

Does he advocate for violent Jihad to spread Islam until everyone in the world submits to its teachings?

The answer to all of these questions is a resounding, objective "yes". But I am the disgusting one, because I state openly that Mohammed did these things in response to your proselyting efforts here.

Jesus reserved his most scathing words for people who fancied themselves authoritative teachers on matters of religion and spirituality, yet who led others astray with false and deceptive teachings. And that is precisely what you are doing. So my response to you is not the direct opposite of what Jesus might do- although He would doubtless put you in your place much more soundly.

I never claimed to be like Jesus. I don't come here to preach anything. I told you that I am not morally qualified to do so. However, I will call you on your attempts to convert others to the deception you peddle under the banner of truth. Every. Single. Time.

"You are almost certainly no Christian or in any way a follower of Jesus or even a believer in him."

And yet- I have made it my life's work to provide practical help to socioeconomically disadvantaged children. I was telling the truth about that. But I swear, and I'm a psychopath, so that disqualifies me... Right?

You are so fit to judge from atop Mohammed's merciful throne.~

In closing, I will employ a debating tactic I learned from someone I respected who once posted here- a Jew. (Tee Hee!)

You are almost certainly a Zionist and probably a Jew (depending on the definition of "Jew").

      +

Now you can go back to your "you're a jew-hating conspiracy nut..." rambling.

      =

Proof of that you contradict yourself, in your own words.

But you will reject that obvious conclusion and accuse *me* of being a liar- when it is you who is deceived. For I am neither a Jew nor a Zionist, you see... Just your friendly neighborhood psycho. ;)

"I will do my utmost to avoid you."

Good luck, because I have no intention of avoiding you. XD

"May God have mercy on you."

Thanks. May He have mercy on you too, Jonah. I hope you get spit out of the whale's belly before the beast digests you in your entirety.

"Nay, I swear by this city -
And thou art an indweller of this city -
And the begetter and that which he begat,
Verily We have created man into toil and struggle.
Thinketh he that none hath power over him?
And he saith: I have destroyed vast wealth:
Thinketh he that none beholdeth him?
Did We not assign unto him two eyes
And a tongue and two lips,
And pointed out to him the two conspicuous ways?
But he hath not attempted the Ascent -
Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Ascent is! -
(It is) to free a slave,
And to feed in the day of hunger.
      An orphan near of kin,
Or some poor wretch in misery,
And to be of those who believe and exhort one another to perseverance
and exhort one another to pity.
Their place will be on the right hand.
But those who disbelieve Our revelations, their place will be on the left
      hand.
Fire will be an awning over them. "

  21. For those of you who've had sleep paralysis before or still do, recite the following before going to sleep (unless your pride is so high that you prefer the pleasant company when it shows):

I seek refuge in God against the accursed Satan.
In the name of God, the All Merciful, the Compassionate.

"Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the Daybreak,
    From the evil of that which He created;
From the evil of the darkness when it is intense,
And from the evil of malignant witchcraft,
And the evil of the envious when he envies."

    Qur'an Chapter 113: Daybreak

I seek refuge in God against the accursed Satan.
In the name of God, the All Merciful, the Compassionate.

"Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,
    The King of mankind,
    The god of mankind,
From the evil of the sneaking whisperer,
Who whispers in the hearts of men,
Of the jinn and of mankind."

    Qur'an Chapter 114: Mankind

    PERSONAL NOTE:

I first heard about sleep paralysis when a sociopath friend (I didn't know he was socio then) told me went through it. This was about a year or so ago. Recently my mother has been bombarded with almost daily episodes. I never had such thing my entire life except recently. However, my own "paralysis" has never lasted longer than a few seconds and I've never actually seen or heard anything. The somewhat disconcerting feeling of an evil presence is the most I've gotten and it''s always felt like I "broke loose" before being trapped. All power is with God - call to Him and he will protect you. If you're too arrogant then make jokes instead and be slaves to Devil & his minions.

    Good luck folks.

    3. Hi Jonaid,

I appreciate you have toned down your vehemence... However, this is still controlling:

"If you're too arrogant then make jokes instead and be slaves to Devil & his minions. "

It is still attempting to force others into your pre-made categories and disrespecting any diversity of viewpoint.

I offer this perspective because the norm for this community is openness. If you truly wish to be part of it, you might consider some practices for making genuine contributions. The question is again: what are you trying to achieve?

      Please respect our individuality.

  22. I used to LOVE smoking weed - I never thought I'd stop. I drank socially and a few months ago got into cigarettes. I quit cigarettes recently (that was hard for a couple of weeks) and never officially quit weed but have NO desire whatsoever for it now. Same goes for alcohol. I swear it's true when you have the Truth you literally have no desire to ever be in an altered state of mind - whether alone or in company.

Keep posting long, pointless and mostly nonsensical red herrings to confuse everyone or bore them out of the conversation. Use your reason those of you who are sincere. God is with you if you call Him. I promise you this is no joke, no conspiracy and certainly not "wishful" thinking. Do not let the minions fool you lest you remain ignorant and truly become fools.
