Haven, while we are far from establishing the exact cause of autistic-spectrum conditions, there is certainly a strong genetic component.

So, while I am not sure what exactly do you mean by "cranium composition" (I am not aware of any notable cranial anatomy changes in autism-spectrum folks), but the strong genetic influence is there.

And now as to subsecies, to qualify as such, you basically need 1) a notable heritable divergence 2) produce fertile offspring with other members of same species

I am quite sure that autistic-spectrum folk can produce fertile offspring with "mundane" folk, and I think we can agree that autistic-spectrum people do have notable divergent characteristics which do, indeed, happen to be strongly inheritable.

Thus, it is perfectly scientifically plausible to view autistic traits as an emergent human subspecies in the process of forming.

Don't worry, all living beings are just experiments of natural selection :)
