Harmless sociopaths

I don't know what it means, but I like the good publicity of Andrew Bird's song "Oh No":
in the salsify mains of what was thought but unsaid
all the calcified arhythmitists were doing the math
it would take a calculated blow to the head
to light the eyes of all the harmless sociopaths
oh arm and arm we are the harmless sociopaths
oh arm and arm with all the harmless sociopaths
calcium mines were buried deep in your chest
oh calcim mines you buried deep in your chest
oh no we're deep in a mine
oh no a calcium mine
so let's get out of here
past the atmosphere
squint your eyes and no one dies
or goes to jail
past the silver bridge, oh the silver bridge
wearing nothing but a one-sie and a veil
oh oh deep in a mine,
oh oh a calcium mine
arm and arm we are the harmless sociopaths
arm and arm with all the harmless sociopaths
in the calcium mines buried deep in your chest
oh the calcium mines buried deep in your chest
oh oh deep in a mine
oh no-- calcium mines oh no

  4. i am recovering from psychopathy - yes i do know i might be deluding myself further, but deep down i do want to change (don't be cynical), my psychiatrist says it is possible so i'm being objective about it. I only mention to hopefully give validity to my following comments which are that i find your notion of a harmless sociopath to be patronising and passive-aggressive, it makes me feel impotent and want to compensate for this by actually harming people for a power kick, you should leave delicate psychology like this to the professionals who are teaching me not to feel omnipotent but to also not jump to the other extreme of feeling impotent, the key is the middleground. Besides, if there can be such a thing as a harmless sociopath can't there also be such a thing as a harmful empath?

    4. ......Hello human race. I have an unpopular opinion to share;

Psychopaths/sociopaths are either genetic, or made via extreme trauma before the age of 3 yrs, or both! In both cases, these people have no control. They don't choose this.

I present the solution: Star Trek's Data's emotion chip. Psychopath/sociopath has complete control at all times, can choose to remove it whenever they wish, dial it up or down, or off.

How to get them to do it? Present it as a dare, a challenge. Therapists to help them with the transition. Problem over.

They are still people. A monster is a victim who got no help when they needed it, that's why they're monsters now. They had no choice, no control.

Offer it to them, then. If we empaths are so much better than them, prove it. Don't hate them. Help them.

  5. Ive been dating a sociopath for nearly 7 months. He's been clincally diagnosed as being a high-functioning sociopath (sociopath with very high intelliegence) but despite knowing this, he does not use his 'skills' in harmful ways. So basically he is a harmless sociopath. And I love him just how he is

    1. And as long as you are willing to be and do whatever he wants, you will continue to receive. Just look at your relationship as a slightly unequal exchange of services, (in his favour, of course) and remember that he must always believe he is smarter than you, and you'll fare well.

      Unless he snaps.

  7. There is a professional essay writers on ineedessayhelp I came over that appears to stand absent from the caesura. Dissimilar alternative treatise writing utilitys that describe their thesiss by messengers, this alone bids it by panorama which I explore truly attractive. The writers grab in what you like besides analyse from that.
